Is maakeencv.nl really free?
Yes. You create a free account, make as many CVs as you like and download one PDF a month without paying. The check, the overview of your applications and 4 of the 21 templates are free, and so is reading in your first old CV. The writing help, the cover letter and translating are part of Pro; the pricing shows exactly what belongs where.
Does the AI make things up?
It should not. The writing help only works with what you have filled in. If something is missing, it puts [aanvullen] (“fill in”) in the text instead of making something up. You see every suggestion first and decide yourself whether to accept it. Always read it through: you are responsible for what is in your CV.
Can my coach see my CV?
Only if you want. If you take part through an organisation, such as your municipality or a reintegration agency, your coach sees how far you are: invited, started, CV ready, PDF downloaded, letter written. They only see what is in your CV if you give permission, and you can always take that back. If you create an account yourself, nobody looks along.
Which languages does it work in?
The app works in 11 languages: Dutch, English, Arabic, Turkish, French, Farsi, Dari, Somali, Tigrinya, Ukrainian and Russian. With Pro you can translate your CV into 18 languages. This homepage is also available in those 11 languages; the translations were made with AI and have not all been checked by a native speaker yet.
Is my data safe?
Your data is stored on protected servers in the EU and is only used to make your CVs. We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising trackers. Read more in our privacy policy (in Dutch).
